50 Years Ago Today – Led Zeppelin Pauses on The Riff & Releases ‘Led Zeppelin III’ LP (Watch “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” Live From Earls Court)

50 years ago today (10/5/70) Led Zeppelin’s third album Led Zeppelin III was released. Jimmy Page put a pause on the riff and the four-piece embraced a folk and acoustic sound, aside from the thunderous “Immigrant Song” and jubilant “Out On The Tiles.” Robert Plant has embraced this rootsy sound from III on his roots-based revival records of the last 15 years. Watch “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” from Led Zeppelin III live from Earls Court in 1975.
