2 Years Ago Today – The Replacements Break 28 Year TV Appearance Drought (Watch “Unsatisfied” Live ’14)

2 years ago today (9/10/14), The Replacements performed on TV for the first time in 25 years when they appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The band that now features only Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson from their LP day,s in addition to Josh Freese (drums) and Dave Minehan (guitar), play “Alex Chilton from 1987’s Pleased To Meet Me. Their date on Fallon also follows 28 years after The Replacements were banned for life from Saturday Night Live following a drunken stint on the late night variety show. Fallon videos are hard to come by for a re post of “Alex Chiltom”, but check out The Replacements perform “Unsatisfied” a few nights later at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens.
