30 Years Ago Today – PJ Harvey Released Debut Album ‘Dry’

30 years ago today (3/30/92), PJ Harvey released its debut album Dry, at a time when both the band (featuring drummer Rob Ellis, and bassist Steve Vaughan) and the singer shared the same name. The album shook up the alt-scene with its edgy mix of blues-infused punk-rock songs that were volcanic in shock, exposing sides of the female psyche in music rarely heard up to that point.
