30 Years Ago Today – Temple of The Dog Released Its Self Titled Debut & Only LP (Watch Live 11/13/90 Seattle)

30 years ago today (4/16/91), the one and only Temple of the Dog album is released. The Seattle based band was comprised of members of Soundgarden (Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron) along with Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Jeff Ament, who were in the early stages of Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog was formed as a tribute to Mother Love Bone singer Andrew Wood, who died of a heroin overdose in 1990; The band reformed in late 2016 for a short U.S. tour of arenas, before lead singer Chris Cornell lost his life in May of 2017.
