Twenty years ago today (4/15/01), the world lost one of the most identifiable – both physically and vocally – figures in rock history, as Joey Ramone died at the age of 49. The lead singer of The Ramones who sported snarls and cracks along with a relatively dejected youth voice led the sound of The Ramones over the course of 14 studio albums and legions of shows. Well, folks, doesn’t get much better than this… check The Ramones live in ’77 at London’s Rainbow Theater.
