40 years ago today (3/5/84), David Gilmour released his second solo album About Face. Featuring Gilmour’s distinctive soaring guitar sound along with trysts with’80s pop. The album included songs such as “Until We Sleep,” “Love on the,” and “Blue Light” while musicians on the album included drummer Jeff Porcaro, bass guitarist Pino Palladino, Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord, and Steve Winwood.
