15 years ago today (3/6/09), Phish played their first official gig together after their kind of/sort of dire 2004 Coventry farewell. Fans made it to the Mothership in Hampton, Virginia, to see Page McConnell, John Fishman, Trey Anastasio, and Mike Gordon return to the stage for the first time in four years and seven months, as they heroically opened with “Fluffhead,” a song they haven’t played since 2000.
