40 Years Ago Today – Iggy Pop Releases Bowie Collaborated ‘Lust For Life’ LP (Listen to “Tonight”)

40 years ago today (8/29/77), Iggy Pop released his second studio album Lust For Life.  Marking his second collaboration with David Bowie, following 1976’s The Idiot, the album sports some signature cuts that include the title track, “Tonight” and “The Passenger.” The album was more of a rocking LP vs the experimental nature of its predecessor, owed largely thanks to drummer Hunt Sales and his bassist brother Tony Sales, who would rejoin Bowie later in his early 90’s band Tin Machine.
