Happy 50th birthday to the singer/songwriter/bandleader/guitarist who has become a legend and icon in his own right- Jeff Tweedy of Wilco. Born on 8/25/67, Tweedy cut his chops on the national level first with Uncle Tupelo and following their 1994 breakup, formed Wilco. Though Wilco has seen a handful of different formations, the last 13 years has remained steady, as Wilco has earned one of the most devoted indie followings and a songbook (penned by Tweedy) that stands up against almost any other band. Let’s watch Tweedy and Wilco take on the always riveting “Poor Places” off Yankee Hotel Foxtrot live in 2011.
