40 Years Ago Today – Little Feat Release ‘Down On The Farm LP’, Last Studio LP With Lowell George

40 years ago today (11/14/79), Little Feat released Down on the Farm their seventh studio album and their final one with guitarist and frontman Lowell George. The album was completed and released shortly after the death of George and it would be their last original work for nine years. The album didn’t spawn any singles but still created some lasting originals in the Feat catalog that would be in the band’s setlist up to the current 50th-anniversary tour. Check out “Six Feet of Snow,” off Down on the Farm, a unique one considering it was co-written by both George and Keith Godchaux of The Grateful Dead.
