Happy 75th birthday to undoubtedly the meanest, grooviest and most influential organist of our time –Booker T. Jones (born 11/12/44) As a living ambassador of the Memphis/Stax sound and frontman of Booker T. & the M.G.’s., Booker’s contributions to rock and various musical genres are endless. He has also worked in the studios with many well-known artists (Neil Young, Drive-By Truckers, Willie Nelson, Bill Withers, Rancid) and has earned him a Grammy Award for lifetime achievement.
