45 years ago today (6/22/71), Joni Mitchell released Blue, her fourth album and what many considered one of the greatest albums of all time. Often referred to as quintessential confessional singer/songwriter album, Blue became the blueprint for many acoustic performers. Of the many standouts on the LP are “A Case of You,” “California” and “Blue” with special guests that include James Taylor, Stephen Stills, Pete Kleinow and Russ Kunkel.
