50 years ago today (6/20/74), Bob Dylan & The Band released the live album Before The Flood. All but one song was recorded from their performances at the Forum in Inglewood, CA, on February 13–14, 1974. This tour was particularly significant as it marked Dylan’s return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus following a motorcycle accident in 1966. The cuts are a mix of Band songs sung by Band members along with Dylan tunes. Although both Dylan and The Band had recorded the studio album Planet Waves just prior to the tour, no Planet Waves songs are on Before The Flood. Check out the album in full…
