55 Years Ago Today – The 13th Floor Elevators Release Second Album ‘Easter Everywhere’

55 years ago today (10/25/67), The 13th Floor Elevators released their second album Easter Everywhere. Further honing their then primitive and original stew of psych rock that rivaled the San Francisco scene psych with a heavier tone and presentation. Led by Roky Erickson, Easter Everywhere featured originals along with an almost unrecognizable cover of Bob Dylan’s “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue”. All modern psych bands owe something to this Texas band. Check out the album in full.
