60 years ago today (8/19/64), The Beatles kicked off their second tour of the United States and their first coast-to-coast tour with a performance at the Cow Palace in Daly City (outside of San Francisco). The Fab Four previously visited the northeast United States around their influential performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, but these 32 shows were in bigger venues (stadiums and arenas to cage in the young girls’ scream) and a 12-song setlist that featured a decent amount of cover songs.
