Happy 74th Birthday Donald Fagen (Listen to “Tomorrow’s Girls”)

Happy 74th birthday to Glide favorite Donald Fagen of Steely Dan (born on 1/10/48). Fagen cofounded Steely Dan with the late Walter Becker in 1972 and together their pristine jazz-rock compositions are that of legend and unrivaled. Fagen sang lead on almost every song, with his distinct nasally smooth vocals with of course a cynical face. The Steely Dan journey continues as they are gearing up for a 2022 summer tour. Listen to Fagen’s “Tomorrow’s Girls” off of 1993’s solo LP Kamakiriad, which shines with one of the tightest grooves of any Fagen composition to date.
