Happy 80th Birthday Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane/Starship (Watch “Somebody to Live” Love at Woodstock)

Happy 80th birthday today to one of the pioneering figures of the 60’s psychedelic scene- Grace Slick (born 10/30/39). The vocalist’s music career spanned four decades and she was a member of The Great Society, Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Starship. Slick provided vocals on a number of well-known songs, including “Somebody to Love,” “White Rabbit,” and  MTV era love em or leave it hits “We Built this City” and “Nothing’s Going To Stop Us Now.” Watch Slick and Jefferson Airplane perform “Somebody to Love” at Woodstock ’69…
