10 years ago today (6/17/11), Bon Iver released its eponymous second album ‘Bon Iver’ and represented his first foray into auto-tune. The album received many accolades including winning Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2012 ceremony, while “Holocene” was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Frontman Justin Vernon’s choice of song titles, the majority of which are named after cities and towns if not given esoteric names like “Beth/Rest” or “Holocene” proved that of giddiness for his culturally advanced fanbase.
