Film Bits: New Trailers for ‘Blade Runner 2049’, ‘Wonder Woman’, and ‘It’ Released

‘Blade Runner 2049’ Unleashes Gorgeous New Trailer

What else can you call it but gorgeous? The second full trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 was released this morning, showcasing more of the stunning imagery from the sequel to the Ridley Scott classic. Backed by a boneshaking electro soundtrack, the new trailer still reveals very little by way of plot points and focuses instead on the visual aesthetic of the film, which seems to be a perfect amalgam of Scott’s tech-noir imagescaping and Villeneuve’s eye for subtlety. We also finally get to see stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford properly interact, as well as hear Jared Leto’s antagonist perform a bit of Bad Guy Monologue. If you weren’t on board yet, this might just push you over the edge. Blade Runner 2049 opens October 6.

Final ‘Wonder Woman’ Trailer Amps Up the Epic

With a little less than a month to go before its release, advertising for Wonder Woman has finally kicked into high gear. A new trailer was unveiled last night, giving us a taste of the epic scope of the Sally Jenkins directed big screen debut for the first lady of superheroes. Also of note, the new look gave us a glimpse of Doctor Poison (Elena Anaya) along with more from Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. DC desperately needs Wonder Woman to be a success, given the disastrous year the universe had last year, and, so far, it looks as though they’re on the right track. We won’t know for sure until Wonder Woman opens on June 2.

Terrifying New Trailer for ‘It’ Releaed

It debuted a new extended trailer at last night’s MTV Movie awards, giving us more from the Loser’s Club as well as the visual aesthetic to the upcoming cinematic adaptation of the classic Stephen King novel. Immediately you can tell that this version of It is already a higher class of adaptation than the popular made-for-TV movie from the 90s. We also get a new look at Pennywise in the form of an extended shot of him standing behind some balloons that was previously used as a promo pic. It’s a bit too soon to say for sure, but so far this looks like it might be the best King adaptation to date. September 8 can’t get here soon enough.
