Chris Taylor also known at CANT strums the bass for the rock group Grizzly Bear. Taylor is striking out on his own for a solo project entitled Dreams Come True.   We chatted with him before his most recent concert at Lincoln Hall in Chicago.

English synthpop duo Erasure, consisting of songwriter and former Depeche Mode member/founder/keyboardist Vince Clarke and singer Andy Bell entered the music scene in 1985 with their debut single "Who Needs Love Like That".  This duo recently hit the road for their first tour in five years in support of their new album Tomorrow’s World. Just prior to Clarke announcing his reunion with Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore for a a series of EPs and a new album under the band name VCMG, Glide had a chance to speak with Mr. Andy Bell.

Dead Can Dance was formed in 1981 made up of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard bringing other world ambient music to their dedicated fan base for three decades. Now with his new solo album Ark, Perry returns to the scene after an eleven year recording break. Aside from writing all the lyrics on Ark, Perry plays every instrument to mesh with his distinct voice. Glide recently caught up to him on the road to discuss his latest endeavor.

They Might Be Giants are an alternative rock band composed of John Flansburgh and John Linnell who have delivered heir quirky music to fans for decades. From the college charts to children’s ditties, this duo specialize in educating and entertaining simultaneously. Their latest offering Join Us still holds onto their classic sound while sounding modern. Linnell of the two Johns explained recent life as a little giant.

s the son of Crowded House’s Neil Finn, New Zealand’s Liam Finn has established himself by touring the world several times performing with Wilco, Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam and The Black Keys, as well as at numerous festivals. His new album FOMO separates him from his famous family and shows how eclectic he can be courtesy of  complex melodies and wistful vocals.

Neil Finn, frontman for the group Crowded House, has a new project The Pajama Club, this time with wife Sharon.

The musical project known as Owl City was created by Adam Young in 2007. His electronic music made him a Platinum performer with the hit single “Fireflies” on the album Ocean Eyes. His new record All Things Bright and Beautiful continues that trend and brings him on tour this summer.

Vanessa Carlton walked “A Thousand Miles” into the public’s hearts with her Be Not Nobody record selling two million copies worldwide. Her fourth album Rabbits on the Run drops at the end of the month.

The eclectic band Ozomatli have traveled from Los Angeles to around the world winning with  their diverse sound. With a mix from rock to reggae to salsa this group doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. They are currently working on oZoKidZ for children, followed by a book, DVD, and tour. Glide went backstage before their recent show at the Congress to get the real story from Raul Pacheco about musical instruments,  “Gay Vatos” and electrocution.

Joan As Police Woman is ready to handcuff your ears with her unique soulful sound. Her history alone makes her worth listening to. Working with such creative artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters and Antony and the Johnsons in the past has brought her much deserved attention. Her new album The Deep Field dropped earlier in the month with Joan playing at Schubas at the end of April. Get to know Joan in this exclusive interview.

Indie rock band Gomez is gathering together to play live once again in Chicago. The group is from Southport, England and grew up playing music through the years. Their music can be described as a mix of styles from folk to blues. Lead singer and guitar player Ian Ball talked briefly before their appearance.

The Scottish indie band from Glasgow were formed by cousins James and Rab Allan in 2003. The band received critical acclaim for their debut album Glasvegas which was released in September 2008, reaching No. 2 in the UK Album Charts and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in September 2009.  Rab sat down before their gig at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago to discuss the new album Euphoric///Heartbreak\.

British singer Dan Black dances to the beat of his own drum. Recently when a white party hosted by EnV needed a singer they naturally thought of Black. Benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Dan the man sported a partly white ensemble and even took time out for a brief interview.

The music legend Peter Murphy survived the breakup of goth group Bauhaus to carve out his own niche as a solo artist. Murphy finished up a promo tour across the United States for his new album dropping in June called Ninth. With a career that has lasted decades, this Bela Lugosi singer plans to live on forever.
