Women’s groups in Uganda have been using songs passed by word of mouth to call child soldiers and abductees […]

Check out the very non-other-holidays-that-aren’t-Christmas-themed tracklist below. She & […]

Driftwood Fire: How To Untangle a Heartache
It’s quite the distance from the Appalachians to Colorado, but for the duo of Fort Collins singer-songwriters Charlotte Formichella and Lynn Scharf – known as Driftwood Fire – they wouldn’t have it any other way
Sisters 3: Coruscate at the Meadow Gate
Unlike those lying Doobie Brothers, Sisters 3 is actually a band comprised of three sisters: Cassandra, Beatrice, and Anna Christie Sadler. The Philadelphia trio has a vintage style, but it would be a mistake to lump them in with the folk pop revival trend of recent years. Their second album, Coruscate at the Meadow Gate, has a sound too diverse to fit neatly in any genre.
Lollapalooza 2011: Grant Park, Chicago, IL 8/5-8/7/11
Closing with fan-favorite “Everlong” seemed appropriate and concluded what was an amazing set by one of rock’s top-notch touring attractions, only further amplified by mother-nature. As fans plodded through the massive mud pit following the show, Lollapalooza’s 20th Anniversary was abruptly closing. All attendees had left to do was check if their cellphone still worked, if it didn’t, it was probably worth the damage.

The Antlers Continue To Burst Apart
While their sophomore release Burst Apart veers away from any heavily constructed concept and instead soaks in the electronic rock stratosphere, it is in no way a disappointment. Glide Magazine’s Peter Zimmerman recently spoke with Silberman about the writing and release of Burst Apart.

Friday Mix Tape – Working Title
I resisted the hurricane/storm theme because by now I’m sure we’re all temporarily sick of Like a Hurricane, Rock You Like a Hurricane, Shelter from the Storm and of course, The Tide is High. So here’s a few tunes about us working stiffs to kick off the Labor Day Weekend. One of my all-time favorite […]
