25 years ago today (2/11/97), Pavement released its fourth album Brighten the Corners. Mixing the light-hearted and dark, Brighten will never top any Pavement “best-of album,” lists (save that to their first three albums), it’s still packed with Malkmus originality and plenty of hooks if you listen deep.
