25 Years Ago Today – The Smashing Pumpkins Reopen San Francisco’s Fillmore (Watch Full Show)

25 years ago today (4/24/94), San Francisco’s legendary rock venue the Fillmore Auditorium reopens with a headlining performance by The Smashing Pumpkins. The venue was reopened after a period of relative inactivity in the 1980s and early ‘90s. Tickets for the show sold out in less than one minute, with Linda Perry, Ry Cooder & David Lindley, and American Music Club also appearing that night. Smashing Pumpkins were still riding the wave of 1993’s Siamese Dream and the setlist was composed mainly of songs from that LP. Check out the full concert with a well-coiffed Billy Corgan….
