43 Years Ago Today- AC/DC Release First International Studio LP ‘High Voltage’ (Watch “It’s a Long Way To The Top” Video)

43 years ago today (4/30/76), AC/DC released High Voltage, their first internationally released studio album. The album featured Bon Scott on vocals and Mark Evans on bass along with the Young brothers (Angus, Malcom) and Phil Rudd on drums. This international release only included two tracks from the Australian High Voltage release from 1975 – “She’s Got Balls” and “Little Lover” – with the rest of the songs taken from the the 1975 Australia only release T.N.T. Watch this classic video for “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll)” that was as filmed in ’76 for the Australian music television program Countdown. It featured the band’s members on the back of a flatbed truck traveling on Swanston Street in Melbourne Australia, being followed by members of the Rats of Tobruk Pipe band.
