30 Years Ago Today – The Black Crowes Release Second Album ‘The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion

30 years ago today (5/12/92), The Black Crowes released their second studio LP The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion.  It was the first Crowes record to feature Marc Ford (replacing Jeff Cease) on lead guitar and Eddie Harsch on keys and features a number of standout tracks that became iconic Crowes tunes. “Remedy,” “Sting Me,” “Thorn in My Pride” and”Hotel Illness” all were singles, while the rest of this grunge-era released bluesy rock album contains zero filler.
