34 Years Ago Today – Bruce Dickinson Becomes Iron Maiden Lead Singer (Watch “Hallowed Be Thy Name” Live ’82)

34 years ago today (9/26/81), Bruce Dickinson became the lead singer of Iron Maiden replacing lead singer Paul Di’Anno. Dickinson, who previously fronted British hard rock band Samson, helped Maiden rise up in the ranks of greatest metal bands with 1982’s landmark release The Number of the Beast.
