50 years ago today (11/5/70), Led Zeppelin released what was arguably their heaviest single to date – “Immigrant Song” off Led Zeppelin III. As most of the album featured celestial folk, “Immigrant Song” offers howling Robert Plant vocals, a cutting repeating riff from Jimmy Page and John Bonham’s bottom-heavy drums.
