70 years ago today (10/20/50), the late great Tom Petty was born in Gainesville, FL. Petty of course needs little to no introduction sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. In 2002, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sadly we lost Petty on 10/2/17, unexpectedly just as he completed a stellar run of shows at The Hollywood Bowl.
