25 years ago today (10/21/95), Shannon Hoon, the siren pitched lead singer of Blind Melon passed away at age 28 from a drug overdose. Blind Melon hit pay day with their1993 hit “No Rain” and its infamous “bee girl” video from their self titled debut album. 1995’s Soup followed and was a darker effort yet more rewarding listen. Check out Blind Melon’s Woodstock ’94 performance where Hoon was allegedly high on LSD and went onstage wearing his girlfriend’s white dress.
