Happy 80th birthday today to vocalist Darlene Love (born 7/26/41). As the lead singer of the girl group the Blossoms, Love fortified herself as one of the premier soul singers of her time as a solo artist as well. Love’s resume is lengthy and has worked with legions of fabled names including Sam Cooke The Beach Boys and Cher.
