Happy 86th birthday to Garth Hudson of The Band who was born on 8/2/37. With the recent death of Robbie Robertson, Hudson is the sole original surviving member of The Band. Hudson provided new sonic textures previously unheard of in the rock setting and with his array of keyboards and Lowry organ provided the curation backbone to The Band’s lyrics.
