Ten years ago today (4/19/12), Levon Helm died at age 71 from cancer. Helm best known as the drummer and one of three lead singers of The Band, rejuvenated his musical career in the five years or so before hi his death with his upstate New York barn shows called “Rambles.” The band that Levon put together for the Rambles produced three albums: Dirt Farmer, Electric Dirt, and Ramble at the Ryman.
