New Matt Costa Album Pushed Back To January

The release of Matt Costa’s sophomore effort, Unfamiliar Faces, has been changed to January 15th, 2008, which will be supported by a headlining tour early in the year. In the meantime fans can catch Costa when he joins Modest Mouse on select US tour dates over the next month. In addition to these dates Costa will perform alongside Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Editors, and Paolo Nutini among others when he plays the Virgin Festival in Toronto on September 8th and San Diego Street Scene on September 22nd.

On Unfamiliar Faces Costa reteams with Tom Dumont of No Doubt, who also produced his critically acclaimed 2006 debut Songs We Sing – an album that established Costa as one of the most engaging and buzzed about performers to emerge from the vibrant Los Angeles art scene.
