Assembly of Dust are joining forces with JJ Grey & Mofro a run of dates up
the East Coast. The two bands will swap closing slots over two weeks and
AOD promises that "the hick funk will be moshing with the country ghetto all
night long. Nuff said!
Fronted by co-songwriters Reid Genauer (lead vocals/guitar and lyricist)
and Nate Wilson (keyboards/backing vocals), along with Adam Terrell
(lead guitar/backing vocals), John Leccese (bass/backing vocals) and
Andy Herrick (drums), AOD has built a solid following on word of mouth
generated from their live shows: the guys exhibit the chops and roots
feel of classic Little Feat with a big nod to The Band's Robbie
Robertson and Levon Helm (thanks in part to Wilson 's tasteful Hammond
organ and keyboard parts). Genauer and Wilson have a knack for a turning
a phrase and putting together a series of chords that are instantly
memorable and true, with songs that stand on their own without gimmicks,
hype or trends. The band's organic skill at improvisation and
musicianship never fail to bring the house down live.
