Tweedy Plans September Theater Shows

Jeff Tweedy and his 18-year-old son Spencer – aka Tweed have announced a run of southeast and northeast shows right around the release date of their debut album Sukierae.  The Tweedy excursion launches Sept. 19 in Athens, Ga., just a few days before the father/son duo release their debut album. Meanwhile Wilco will play a few dates in September too with shows in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 3 and Akron, Ohio, Sept. 4, ahead of the band’s appearance at Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, Va., Sept. 6-7.

Sept. 19 – Athens, Ga., Georgia Theatre
Sept. 20 – Bristol, Tenn., Downtown Bristol (Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion)
Sept. 21 – Philadelphia, Pa., Merriam Theater
Sept. 23 – Brooklyn, N.Y., BAM Howard Gilman Opera House
Sept. 24 – Ithaca, N.Y., State Theatre
Sept. 26 – Boston, Mass., Berklee Performance Center
Sept. 27 – Northampton, Mass., Calvin Theater
Sept. 28 – Portland, Maine, State Theatre
Sept. 29 – Burlington, Vt., Flynn Center For The Performing Arts

A presale for the Tweedy dates begins Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. ET.
