Faith No More Releasing First New Album in 18 Years – ‘Sol Invictus’

Faith No More have announced the release of their new album and its titled Sol Invictus. Their first LP since 1997’s ‘Album Of The Year‘, it will be released on May 19 and was recorded in the band’s own studio in Oakland, California. It will be released on their own imprint, Reclamation Records, and distributed by frontman Mike Patton’s label, Ipecac Recordings.

The album release will be preceded by a single, ‘Superhero’. The band will put out the track on 7-inch on March 17, with a digital release to follow on March 31. The band debuted the song during a show at Hyde Park in July 2014. It comes after ‘Motherfucker’, which was released for Record Store Day’s Black Friday in November of last year.

Faith No More have also announced a run of US tour dates, which will take place in April and May ahead of their appearance at Download Festival in June. The band will air new material at the upcoming shows.
