Here’s a little something to fire up the weekend: Mike’s Groove from Big Cypress.
Back in the swamp, I had just moved to the side of the teeming masses as it began and was treated with the incredible visual effect of a mountain of the densest smoke erupting on stage, swelling and towering far above the lighting rigs, and finally flowing off into the crowd, all in perfect synchronization with the monster jam. I can never get past that mental image, although the music continues to flow into a pretty Simple on into a Hydrogen that snaps perfectly right at the very end, and finally into Weekapaug, complete with one of Phish’s best fireworks displays — you get the soundtrack; provide your own pyrotechnics. Be sure to turn it up LOUD and enjoy!
