Swedish occult rock icons Ghost unleashed their new track, “Square Hammer,” onto the world today on Sirius XM Radio ahead of the release of their latest EP, Popestar, this Friday, September 16. The track continues to push their blend of pop-rock with black metal iconography into new dimensions, and is all at once the catchiest and most evil thing you’ll hear today.
Propelled by larger than life riffs and an infection keyboard track, Ghost has truly outdone themselves with “Square Hammer” and it bodes well for their upcoming release. The five track EP, like their previous EP, If You Have Ghost, is mostly covers, including a cover of Echo and the Bunnymen’s “Nocturnal Me,” and has been described as an “extension” of their last album Meliora.
Ghost hits the road once more starting next week. See tour dates, as well as the track listing for Popestar, below.

One Response
Are “bible” and “I believe” also original works? I found the Eurythmics and Echo and the Bunneymen covers.
