Wilco has always been a band that takes it a step further. Along with their impressive musical output, the dad rock leaders always have great merchandise, music videos, and an extensive touring schedule. Their 2022 tour in support of their twangy new country album Cruel Country is almost wrapping up, there are a few west coast dates including Santa Fe, San Diego, and Redondo Beach before they make their way up to Canada for stops in Vancouver and Calgary. They’ll then do a string of shows in the midwest in Memphis, Bozeman, and Columbia, Missouri before a final stop in New Orleans.
Didn’t make it to a show? No worries, the Wilco team doesn’t want anyone to miss out on their live shows. The band has done an amazing job at archiving their career and this current tour is no different. In the same email where they were promoting their final shows of the year, they reminded us just how well they have documented their career. The band recently uploaded full footage from a 1998 show where the band runs through some of their most classic material.
Wilco has been recording shows since the early days and all of that is captured through their Roadcase Recordings series. The series features live albums from over the years and are available exclusively through the band’s website. On this tour they’ve issued the 99th edition of this archival series, the audio is lifted from their New Haven, Connecticut stop from August of this year.
The other links provided in the email mention Wilco’s Spotify playlist that features current favorites from the band including Mac Miller, Spoon, and Soul Glo.
