The Toronto-based artist is firing on all cylinders while backed by lively syncopated backing vocals and a band that’s tighter than a waistband on Thanksgiving. “Long Gone” is off the upcoming 7” Vinyl release available Nov. 30th on LRK Records.
“This song was co-written with my producer Scott McCannell and another amazing local singer/songwriter named Kyla Charter. Scott had recorded a demo of just the music and in one of our sessions Kyla came in with this amazing hook right off the bat that really zeroed in on the theme of the song. Probably one of my favorite things on this track is the background vocals which were arranged by composer/producer La-Nai Gabriel. The parts she wrote added so much sass and matched the energy of the lyrics so perfectly. It was a wonderful and effortless collaboration on all fronts.”
