Angular guitar hooks and irreverent lyrics abound in this feel-good, 90 ‘s-soaked alt-rocker. The band’s debut full-length, totally famous, will be out later this year on Lauren Records.
“Why sing a chorus when you can play a big E major guitar riff instead? I remember the weird stuttered guitar part came to me suddenly one day right after I’d ridden my bike home. I hopped off my bike, picked up my guitar, and just played it. Obviously, it tells a story about pawning a guitar, but spiritually it’s also an ode to the pure teenage joy of getting that first electric guitar.
