The Tyde, the spiritual pop outfit fronted by Darren Rademaker, have announced their fifth studio LP. Season 5 is set to be released on March 1 via Spiritual Pajamas and the band has released the fantastic new single “Heal Thyself” on this fine new music Friday. The breezy single evokes the feeling of floating as Rademaker croons of self-love over an expansive arrangement of psychedelic proportions.
Season 5 is available for pre-order on The Tyde’s Bandcamp and it is not an album you want to miss. Rademaker brought in the likes of Dan Horne, Colby Buddelmeyer, Matt Correia (Allah-Las), Clay Finch (Mapache), Albert Hickman, Derek James (The Entrance Band), Alex Knost (Tomorrow’s Tulips) and Adam MacDougall (Circles Around the Sun/Black Crowes). “I lived in Florida from the ages of 10 to 25, but never really got to explore it,” says Rademaker on the warm tones of Season 5, “When I came back, I decided to really embrace the whole Florida aesthetic. I moved into an art deco home in Sarasota with pink seashell lamps. I visited Key West, like seven times. I also quit smoking weed and cigarettes, and stopped saying shit like ‘LOL’ and ‘amazeballs.’ It felt different. It felt good.”
