Closing out our Steve Albini tribute week with this classic interview with the perpetually weird Nardwuar, who discusses, among other things, smashing toilets, lighting farts on fire, Gene Simmons pranks, “pet” cockroaches, and fluffy coffee.
There’s also a hilariously brief George Martin impression from Mr. Albini himself here, so gotta love that.This is a pretty great interview that captures Steve in a decidedly affable mood, with no shortage of his trademark acerbic sense of humor to boot.
R.I.P. to the late great Steve Albini, a true legend whose contributions to punk-rock, noise-rock, and underground music in general cannot be overstated. He will be missed.
