Rounding out our salute to the Sun City Girls this week, as you’ve probably noticed from our Manic Monday and Tuesday’s Gone selections, the band were nothing if not weird. Indeed, practically everything about them was weird, from their improvisational performances, costumes, psychedelic jazz freakout sessions, you name it, the Sun City Girls will always deserve a spot high atop the mantle of the Weirdo Wednesday Hall of Fame. And perhaps the best evidence of that could come from literally any of their truly bizarre six home videos, but for today’s Weirdo Wednesday, we’re sharing one of those titled “The Burning Nerve Ending Magic Trick”. We’re not entirely sure if it’s the outright weirdest home video of the SSG lot (granted that’s a high bar), but it’s certainly up there. Behold:
