American Hell is the new album by Whiskerman, a sprawling double LP set to be released in two parts, beginning with American Hell Pt. I on January 26th, 2026. Following up 2023’s Champions (Deluxe Edition), the new album is both a return to form and a statement of purpose for the band, their first collection of new music since 2020’s Kingdom Illusion. Across nearly a dozen tracks, the band explores the malaise that’s settled over the United States in recent years, redefining for themselves what it means to be an American in these changing times.

“The Dregs” is our first preview of the anticipated new double LP from Whiskerman, and the explosive, soaring performance is sure to turn anyone unfamiliar with the band into an instant fan. This is the type of single that feels like a celebration within itself, even though it’s just the start of an ambitious two-part project. The soaring falsettos collide with fiery twang and acrobatic soul, creating a no-brakes ride through the nuances of Whiskerman’s fusion prowess, drenching the listener in lively tempos and infectious energy. “The Dregs” is a non-stop firework show that bursts with unfamiliar colors that maintain a warm familiarity, introducing Whiskerman as honored traditionalists and innovative players in contemporary rock, all while the band toys with the limitations of their seemingly boundless range.

“This song was born from a jam in the Desert. It was one of those rare times when you catch a song almost entirely from the ether,” explains band member Graham Patzner. “Of course, it evolved over time once the band caught hold of it and emerged into the intense, full-on psychotic piece it has become.”
