Arctic Monkeys Announce Fifth Album & U.S. Tour Dates

Arctic Monkeys have announced the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album, AM, via Domino on September 10th. In celebration of the new release the British foursome will be returning to the U.S. to headline several shows this Fall.  In addition to this year’s Austin City Limits Festival, the band will be making stops in Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles and more.  Tickets go on sale June 28th or June 29th. See below for more information.

AM features 11 new tracks and was produced by James Ford and co-produced by Ross Orton in California. The album was engineered by Ian Shea (Coldplay, John Mayer) and mixed by multi-Grammy Award winner Tchad Blake (Elvis Costello, The Black Keys).  Josh Homme, Pete Thomas and Bill Ryder Jones all make guest appearances on AM – as do the words of John Cooper Clarke, on the track “I Wanna Be Yours.”

Arctic Monkeys surprised fans last week by spontaneously releasing the first single from AM titled “Do I Wanna Know?
