Between The Times & The Tides from Sonic Youth guitarist and sometime vocalist, Lee Ranaldo is due out March 20 via Matador Records. While Lee is very prolific, and keeps busy working in many artistic and creative mediums, Between The Times & The Tides can, in a sense, be considered his first song-based solo full-length. Download the "Off The Wall" MP3 to get a sample Lee is joined on Between The Times & The Tides by Nels Cline, Alan Licht, John Medeski, bassist Irwin Menken and longtime associate, Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley (old friends Jim O’Rourke and Bob Bert also make cameos).
Lee will be touring, with select dates in April, a couple with Steve Shelley’s group, Disappears, followed by a run in May supporting M. Ward. The live band will feature Alan Licht, Steve Shelley and Irwin Menken.
