30 Years Ago Today – Queen Release ‘Innuendo’ LP – Last Record During Freddie Mercury’s Lifetime

30 years ago today (2/5/91), Queen released Innuendo, the band’s last album to be released in lead singer Freddie Mercury’s lifetime, and their most recent one to be composed of entirely new material. The album was a comeback of sorts following 1989’s The Miracle, with six singles including the hard-hitting “Head On” and “The Show Must Go On” and the moving “These Are The Days of Our Lives” and “I Can’t Live with You.” Nine months after the release, Mercury passed away from AIDS, but Innuendo still holds up as well as many of Queen’s classic ’70s albums.
