Formed in 2017 by brothers Ben Ford and Michael Ford, Jr., Airpark is a Nashville-based duo whose songs explore the wide expanse of forward-thinking pop music.
The upcoming debut album, Prehistoric Feeling, finds the Fords striving to create an effortless and joyous work that, with the passing of time, will take listeners back to the exact place they were when they first heard it. Appearances from Eric Cannata (Young the Giant, Coma Culture), Jean-Philip Grobler (St. Lucia), and Jessie Baylin provide inimitable flourishes to the eleven-song debut.
On “Warm Luck”, Nashville’s Airpark creates a simple and compelling groove with a title that’s one hell of a solid aptronym if there ever was one. It’s a sunny, cozy and downright vibey tune ready for a back roads drive to the swimming hole in the August heat. The song is airy but honest with a timeless feel that leaves room for modern pop sensibilities.
