Oteil Burbridge made some time for his musical pals this fall, scheduling a run of seven shows through the Midwest and West Coast with his Oteil & Friends project. Burbridge keeps good company, and this iteration of the the group included Melvin Seals on keys, guitarists Steve Kimock and Eric Krasno, and John Morgan Kimock on drums.
On Thursday, September 15th, Oteil & Friends was welcomed to a sold out Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon, and delivered two solid sets that included some standout Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers staples, some Eric Krasno compositions, a few Oteil and the Peacemakers tunes, and a few other covers, including a run through J.J. Cale’s “After Midnight.” The tour wraps up in St. Helena, California on Saturday night.
